Obituary for Donald Playfair

Donald Playfair
With profound sadness the family of Don Playfair announce his passing on February 12th 2017. With his family by his side, Don Playfair, husband, father, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly at Saint-Boniface hospital.

He will be immeasurably missed by his wife Maureen, son Dan (Tiffany) and daughter Erin (Blair). He will be lovingly remembered by his cherished grandchildren Aidan, Luca, Aurora, Isla, and Lochlan. He will also be missed by father-in-law Alvin Trann, and many family and friends.

Don grew up in Charleswood, attended the University of Manitoba achieving a Master’s Degree in Education. Don was a teacher and administrator in Lac du Bonnet, Powerview, and at the University of Winnipeg. Don loved travel, the cottage in Lac du Bonnet, golf, curling and was an avid fan of the Bombers and the Jets. Recently, he took up lawn bowling and pickle ball as he loved to be active. Most of all, Don loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in Don’s memory, to the ALS Canada.
