Mum grew up in Pitt Meadows, BC and after losing her parents in Japan after WWII, moved to Manitoba. She worked on sugar beet farms, sewing factories and as a house worker for the Billinkoff family. In March 1956, she married Terry and later raised a family with the birth of Kenny and Brenda.
Mum was a doting parent and grandparent who valued family and hard work. She was also very close to her siblings, nieces and nephews and extended family. She was an active member of the Manitoba Buddhist Temple, an avid reader and loved to crochet.
After moving out of her home on Vincent Massey, she moved into River Ridge retirement home. When Mum suffered her first series of strokes, she then moved to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. The family would like to thank both places for your loving care for Mum.
Mum lived a very full life spanning six generations. While there were many hardships, there were also many great times highlighted by meeting her great grandson Ezra.
